Selected Work

A collection of writing, video, and digital content I've created across journalism, entertainment, creative operations, and independent projects. Each project reflects a different part of how I help bring ideas to life.

Case study - Autos Art & Wine

E.Sierra Media (Company)/National Automobile Museum (Client)

My Role: Writer 💠Producer

The Story: E.Sierra Media's partnered with its client, the National Automobile Museum, to promote its Autos, Art, & Wine event with a commercial that captured the personality of the event, while giving audiences the information they needed to attend. I helped develop the concept, wrote the script, and supported the project through production. The finished commercial turned the event details into a concise promotional story. The video and original script show both sides of my creative process: developing an idea on the page and helping carry it through to the final product.

CASE STUDY - NonStop Auto

E.SIERRA MEDIA (COMPANY)/Nonstop auto (CLIENT)

My Role: Writer 💠 Producer

The Story: For this commercial project, E.Sierra Media worked with their client Nonstop Auto to translate their message into short 15-second bumper commercials to be used with our partnership at Spectrum to play on local affiliate television stations. As writer and producer, I helped shape the concept, wrote the script, and supported the production process from idea through execution. Pairing the original script with the finished commercial provides a look at how I approach client-focused storytelling -- taking a business objective and turning it into something designed to connect with an audience and potential customer base.

CASE STUDY - PIFFtok

The Story: Managing social media for Piff the Magic Dragon meant working within an established comedic voice while finding ways to turn existing and original material into content built for social platforms. As Social Media Manager, I selected and shaped moments for TikTok, edited for pacing and platform conventions, and helped maintain a consistent voice across the account. These two videos became the strongest-performing TikToks from my time managing the platform, demonstrating how thoughtful editing, comedic timing, and an understanding of the audience could translate into measurable reach.

CASE STUDY - THE FALLON POST

My Role: Writer 💠 Founding Staff Member

The Story: I joined The Fallon Post as one of the three founding staff members responsible for transitioning it from online to print. In this role, I was instrumental in building a community newspaper from the ground up while serving as its primary entertainment writer. Working within a small team, my responsibilities extended well beyond writing; I contributed to the newspaper's design using Adobe, managed social media content, and oversaw digital content on the website. My efforts were crucial in establishing the publication during its earliest stages. My articles covered entertainment and community stories, providing me with the opportunity to develop my voice as a journalist and enhance my skills in video production. The archive below represents a year of published work—showcasing my writing samples—and highlights one of my earliest experiences combining writing, design, communication, and creative operations in a single role.

CASE STUDY - freelance work

The Story: Freelance projects have given me opportunities to take on multiple creative roles and adapt my approach to the needs of very different clients. For both Truckee-Carson irrigation District (TCID), and Arena Rock Doc, I worked across writing, production, and video editing processes to help take each project from concept to final delivery. Working independently required balancing the creative side of storytelling with the practical work of organizing materials, making editorial decisions, and delivering a finished piece that served each project's specific purpose.

Truckee-Carson Irrigation District (Client)

My Role: Writer 💠 Producer 💠 Video Editor

The Project: An instructional/informational video designed for voters eligible to cast a ballot in the special election that contracts who represents water right holders in Churchill County and Lyon County in western Nevada, and  some infrastructure extending into Washoe County and up to Lake Tahoe.

Arena Rock Doc (Client)

My Role: Writer 💠 Producer 💠 Video Editor

The Project: A promotional video designed for potential clients to visualize the process of dragging and rock removal of public and private arena spaces in Nevada, California, and Arizona.

CASE STUDY - Personal Work

The Story: Not every creative project starts with a client brief. My person work gives me space to experiment with ideas, develop my comedic voice, and create simply because I think something would be fun to make. Whether I'm writing and editing a social video or developing material for the stage, these projects let me move freely between writing, performance, storytelling, and production. They're also a reminder of what drew me to creative work in the first place: making something from nothing and putting it in front of an audience.
